Miller Electric was started in a Northeast Wisconsin basement in 1929. The first Miller welder was a handmade hand wound transformer welder that turned out to be smaller, lighter, and less expensive than the huge DC arc welder’s that were commonly available during that period. Since that humble beginning Miller Electric has continued to develop and deliver the highest quality and most ruggedly reliable welding and plasma cutting equipment available in the industry today.

Miller is famous for its MIG and TIG welders but they also produce the Miller Spectrum plasma cutter line.

Spectrum 125C – Miller Plasma Cutter.

The Miller Spectrum 125C is a fully portable Miller plasma cutter. It operates from a 20 amp 110 VAC power source and has a self contained air compressor. This Miller plasma cutter has a 12 amp output that is suitable for cutting mild steel up to 1/8 inch thick and will cut up to 3/16 inch material. The pilot arc controller allows it to automatically start and stop for cutting expanded metal. The Spectrum 125C Miller plasma cutter is a good choice for thin metal applications such as HVAC, sheet metal work, auto body shops, and for the light duty hobbyist.

Spectrum 375 – Miller Plasma Cutter.

The Miller Spectrum 375 develops a 27 amp output at 35 percent duty cycle to cut 3/8 inch mild steel at 14 IPM and will sever up to 5/8″ at the rate of 5 IPM. It permits drag cutting and also has the automatic pilot arc for cutting expanded metal. It does not use the high frequency start method so is safe for use around electronics equipment. The Spectrum 375 Miller plasma cutter requires an external air supply of 4.5 CFM at 90 PSI, operates from either 115 or 230 VAC, and weighs 49 Lbs.

Spectrum 375 Xtreme – Miller Plasma Cutter.

The Miller Spectrum 375 Xtreme is a portable plasma cutter that develops a 27 amp output at 35 percent duty cycle. It is suitable to cut 3/8 inch mild steel at 10 IPM and will sever up to 5/8″ material. It has the automatic pilot arc for cutting expanded metal and also permits drag cutting. It is safe for use around electronics equipment because it does not use the high frequency start. The Spectrum 375 Miller plasma cutter requires an external air supply of 4.5 CFM at 90 PSI, operates from either 115 or 230 VAC and weighs just 18 Lbs. Comes with X-Case that has room for gloves and eye protection.

Spectrum 625 Xtreme -Miller Plasma Cutter.

The Miller Spectrum 625 Xtreme is a portable plasma cutter with 40 amp output at 50 percent duty cycle. It is capable of cutting 5/8 inch mild steel at 12 IPM and cuts 1/4 inch material at 60 IPM. It has the automatic pilot arc circuit that makes expanded metal cutting easy. The Spectrum 625 Miller plasma cutter requires an external 6.0 CFM at 90 PSI air supply, but has an internal automatically adjusting regulator. It also has automatic consumable detection and weighs just 21 Lbs. Comes complete with X-Case that has room for consumables, eye protection and gloves.

Spectrum 875 – Miller Plasma Cutter.

The Miller Spectrum 875 plasma cutter has a 60 amp rated output at 50 percent duty cycle. It can cut 7/8 inch mild steel at 10 IPM and 1/2 inch metal at 27 IPM. It has the patented automatic pilot arc start stop circuit that makes cutting expanded metal easy. The Spectrum 875 Miller plasma cutter has an auto adjusting air regulator. It requires an air source of 6.75 CFM at 90 PSI. It also has a consumables storage compartment and weighs 52 Lbs. The torch is ultra quick connect.

Spectrum 2050 – Miller Plasma Cutter.

The Miller Spectrum 2050 plasma cutter has a 50 percent duty cycle 55 amp rated output with cut capacity of 7/8 inch for mild steel at 10 IPM and easily cuts 1/2 inch metal at 27 IPM. The Spectrum 2050 does not start with a high frequency circuit so is computer and electronics friendly. It uses a pilot arc switch when cutting expanded metal. The Spectrum 2050 has an internal air regulator that auto adjusts according to mode. The Spectrum 2050 requires 6.0 CFM of air at 100 PSI. The torch is the ultra quick connect design. The Spectrum 2050 Miller plasma cutter auto selects the input voltage and operates on single phase or three phase power.
